President’s Report for 2022

Dear Supporters and Friends of End Loneliness Inc,

I am thrilled to present to you the President’s Report for the year 2022, our first full year in operation. It has been a busy year as we lay the foundations to chase our mission of endling loneliness by creating connections.

One of the earliest accomplishments of the year was obtaining our Charity Registration. This important milestone not only validates our commitment to making a difference but also opens new opportunities for partnerships and funding.

We were honoured to be selected as a beneficiary of the annual Black Dog Ball. Through this event, we received generous funding of $15,000, which will contribute to the implementation and success of our four pillar initiatives and programs.

I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our early and ongoing supporters, particularly CQUniversity and Oak Tree Retirement Villages. Their unwavering support and belief in our cause have been instrumental in our progress. We are deeply grateful for their contributions and partnership.

Throughout the year, we have been diligently working on implementing our four pillars: Smile Zone, Connectivity Pack, Conversation Corner, and Hello Neighbour. These initiatives are designed to create meaningful connections, foster a sense of community, and provide support to those experiencing loneliness. Our team have made steady early progress in implementing these four pillars and we look forward to continuing this progress into 2023.

Looking ahead, we are excited to be in the planning stages for our inaugural End Loneliness Day, scheduled to be held in 2023. This special day will serve as a platform to raise awareness about the impact of loneliness and the importance of human connection. We will be aiming to build from a pilot event in 2023 to a nationally recognised day of awareness and commitment towards ending loneliness.

As we reflect on the achievements of 2022, I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm for the road ahead. The End Loneliness Inc committee is a dedicated group of people, committed to continuing our work and expanding our reach to touch more lives. Together, we can create a world where no one feels alone.
